In this contract role, you'll be based at one elementary school (serving PreK-5th grade) and will also travel to 1-2 nearby secondary buildings—with all sites conveniently located near each other to streamline your day. Your work will be full-time, dedicated to serving a robust, diverse caseload.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid SLP license in the state of Georgia
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) welcomed, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates also encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with providing speech and language services in a school-based setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to partner with educators, families, and fellow professionals
- Experience writing IEPs and conducting evaluations preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group therapy to students ranging from PreK through secondary grade levels
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans
- Monitor and document student progress, updating educational teams and participating in IEP meetings
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and caregivers to ensure a supportive learning environment
- Educate and empower families and staff on strategies to facilitate communication growth
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district policies
