In this position, you will provide Speech Language Pathology services across two schools—a middle school and a high school—located near Richmond, TX. As a full-time SLP, you’ll work with a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students, fostering communication skills crucial for academic and social success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- State licensure in Speech Language Pathology, or eligibility for licensure
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in sign language is required
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience highly valued
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy for students at both middle and high school levels
- Assess and document student progress, adapting interventions as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student learning goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing your expertise to student support plans
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in line with school and district standards
- Split your time equally between two school locations, supporting students with diverse communication needs
This contract offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule—35 hours per week with a 30-minute lunch break each day. You’ll engage with secondary students, using your sign language proficiency and SLP expertise to make a direct, positive impact during the school year from ASAP through May 22, 2026.
