A full-time, contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Houston, TX, serving elementary school students. This position requires an active Texas SLP license and proven experience in school-based speech-language services. Candidates must be committed to supporting student communication needs in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language assessments, evaluations, and therapy for elementary students.
  • Participate in IEP and referral meetings to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
  • Manage caseloads effectively, with approximately 58 students for campus-based positions.
  • Conduct itinerant services, including bilingual support if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLP license.
  • Experience in school settings, specifically working with students with Autism and behavioral challenges.
  • Bilingual skills are highly desirable for itinerant assignments.
  • Ability to maintain consistent transportation and commute reliability.
  • Familiarity with special education regulations and IEP processes.

Location Options:

  • East Houston: Tijerina Elementary School, Burnet Elementary School, Laurenzo Early Childhood Center.
  • Southwest Houston: Herod Elementary School.

Assignment Details:

  • Contract duration through June 4, 2026.
  • Full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week).
  • Immediate start availability preferred.

Candidates should be prepared for a brief interview via Microsoft Teams and must provide a current Texas SLP license screenshot along with relevant documentation. Prior experience within the school system is a plus, as is readiness for required fingerprinting processes.
