Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or eligibility for CFY supervision
- Prior experience or a strong interest in school-based services
- Knowledge in pediatric speech and language disorders
- Familiarity with IEP processes and development
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and screenings of students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multi-disciplinary team members to support student success
- Provide both direct and consultative speech therapy services within classroom and small-group settings
- Maintain detailed documentation, progress reports, and records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Offer guidance and education to staff and families regarding communication strategies and interventions
