Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in an engaging itinerant role. This full-time, full school year position spans three high school campuses, providing services to students with a wide range of needs—from mild articulation challenges to those in adaptive cluster programs.
Your primary focus will be Mountain View High School, handling a caseload of approximately 50 students. Vista and MCAT high schools together add another 10 students, totaling a caseload of around 60-70. This environment is ideal for SLPs with a passion for providing intervention across various disability levels, including ASD and more severe disabilities. Those holding their CCC are encouraged to apply, as well as Clinical Fellows seeking valuable mentorship—and seasoned SLPAs will also be considered.
Key Qualifications:
- Active standard speech-language pathology certification
- Current IVP fingerprint card
- SLP-CCC credentials required (open to new Clinical Fellows)
- Relevant school-based SLP experience a plus
- Prepared to travel between three high school sites
- Able to design and implement individualized speech therapy plans
Primary Duties:
- Deliver targeted speech-language services supporting diverse student needs
- Manage a dynamic caseload with regular therapy sessions
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families for best student outcomes
- Monitor, document, and report progress on student IEP goals
- Provide guidance and possible mentorship to SLPAs and/or Clinical Fellows
