School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Reading, Pennsylvania
Exciting opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists with schools in the Reading, PA area for the upcoming academic year! This contract position supports a collaborative and innovative educational environment focused on providing high-quality services to PreK-12 students.
Enjoy a flexible role beginning August 17th and running through June 11th, with multiple scheduling options. Full-time positions offer consistent hours (40 hours/week), and both part-time and hybrid arrangements can be accommodated. SLPs will primarily provide direct services and evaluations, while on-site staff manage more intensive and elementary caseloads. If your passion is in evaluations, candidates devoted solely to that aspect are also welcome.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC or CFY accepted)
- School-based experience preferred, including IEP writer proficiency
- Experience or strong interest in AAC, especially Proloquo, is highly valued
- Ability to support a diverse caseload, not to exceed 65 students
- Commitment to collaboration and ongoing professional development
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- SLPAs are not being considered for this assignment
Daily Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services per students’ IEPs (PreK-4th focus with autism support needs)
- Conduct assessments and evaluations as needed
- Contribute to the IEP process using IEP writer software
- Collaborate with general and special educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in weekly support meetings designed for new SLPs
- Maintain thorough, compliant, and confidential records
