Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid California SLP license (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates also considered
- Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or teletherapy settings is highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to cultural sensitivity and a supportive, student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams and families
- Provide direct and remote (teletherapy) speech-language services tailored to students’ needs
- Track progress and document outcomes in accordance with district and state requirements
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ social and academic growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
