Key Qualifications:
- Active Maryland SLP license required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds welcome
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and provide effective therapy sessions
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with students, teachers, and parents
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and required documentation in a timely manner
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students identified through referral or screening
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' needs
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing professional insight and documenting progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other support staff to maximize student outcomes
- Provide therapy sessions in both individual and group environments
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district requirements
- Empower students with strategies that support communication, literacy, and academic achievement
