Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Port Saint Lucie, FL
An exciting opportunity is available for certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) to provide specialized services in schools located along the Southeast Florida Coast. This position offers the chance to support children in Port Saint Lucie and Ft. Pierce, focusing on evaluation and therapy services, particularly for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations, with an emphasis on Autism assessments to assist the school district in addressing evaluation backlogs.
- Provide speech-language therapy services for both individual and group sessions as determined by student needs.
- Collaborate with school staff, including an onsite Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), to support communication development within general and special education settings.
- Manage caseload across one to two school sites, with schedules varying based on assignment and availability.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to meet school district requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience completing evaluations and therapy for pediatric populations, especially students diagnosed with Autism.
- Ability to work onsite in school settings, with flexibility to serve multiple locations.
- Background check clearance (fingerprints required), with potential eligibility to use existing Department of Health clearance.
Location and Schedule:
- Primary school assignments include Oak Hammock K-8 in Port Saint Lucie (2 days/week) and CA Moore K-7 and FK Sweet Elementary in Ft. Pierce (full-time or split part-time).
- Positions are onsite only and offer both full-time and part-time options depending on the location and caseload.
