A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for professionals interested in working with school-age children in Port Saint Lucie, FL, as part of a travel assignment along the Southeast Florida Coast. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations, especially for students requiring autism spectrum disorder assessments.
- Collaborating with onsite SLPs, Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), and educational staff in K-8 and K-7 educational settings.
- Managing caseloads across 1-2 schools depending on assignment specifics.
- Supporting DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) cluster sites and ASD units as needed.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and adherence to district protocols.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology licensure.
- Proven experience in conducting evaluations for students with autism.
- Ability to work onsite within the assigned schools.
- Flexibility to serve full-time or part-time schedules based on assignment needs.
- Compliance with required fingerprinting, potentially through transfer from Department of Health records.
Assignment Details:
- Start date ASAP through June 2, 2026.
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
- Locations include Oak Hammock K-8 in Port Saint Lucie, FL, and CA Moore K-7 and FK Sweet Elementary in Ft. Pierce, FL.
- Schedule ranges from 2 days per week onsite to full-time split between schools.
