A School-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Palm City, FL, serving students in the St. Lucie Public Schools district along the Southeast Florida Coast. This contract role offers both full-time and part-time schedules with assignments at one to two schools, providing a balanced work environment tailored to your preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations focusing primarily on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder to help the district meet evaluation demands.
- Manage caseloads involving K-8 students in diverse educational settings, including DHH cluster sites and schools with ASD units.
- Collaborate with onsite SLPs and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants to develop and implement effective therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and licensure requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience performing evaluations for Autism students is essential.
- Ability to work onsite at designated locations in Port St. Lucie and Ft. Pierce, FL.
- Flexibility to manage full-time assignments across two schools or part-time schedules.
- Completion of required fingerprinting, with the possibility of utilizing existing Department of Health records.
Locations and Schedule Options:
- Oak Hammock K-8, Port St. Lucie, FL: 2 days per week, with onsite support staff.
- CA Moore K-7 and FK Sweet Elementary, Ft. Pierce, FL: Full-time split between schools or part-time opportunities; FK Sweet includes an ASD unit.
