School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Port Orchard, Washington
Make an impact in the lives of K-12 students by providing essential speech and language services in a dynamic school environment. An exciting contract position is available for a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) for the entire 2026-2027 academic year. This opportunity runs ASAP through June 30, 2027, allowing for the support of make-up services beyond the school year.
This full-time, in-person role involves working 7.5 hours each day, totaling 37.5 hours per week. You'll support the diverse needs of students at the elementary level, primarily in grades K-5, with the possibility to work across broader age groups as needed. The role features a collaborative atmosphere, partnering with district SLPs and other educational professionals. You can expect caseloads ranging from 48 to 60, depending on student needs throughout the year.
What We're Looking For:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Active Washington SLP license
- ESA certification
- Must be fingerprinted through OSPI
- Experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to in-person service; virtual candidates will not be considered for this opening
What You'll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educational teams
- Deliver direct therapy to students in both group and one-on-one settings
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate documentation, and report on outcomes
- Provide consultative support and training for teachers and staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and ongoing professional development
