This full-time, in-person SLP assignment starts in August (with a possible July orientation) and covers four local school sites as an itinerant provider, working with K-12 students from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. Qualifications:
- Current (or eligible) VA SLP license
- Background in K-12 school settings or related pediatric experience
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience with in-person, school-based assessments and intervention preferred
- Strong collaboration, adaptability, and communication skills
- SLPA applicants or those with healthcare/teletherapy experience also encouraged
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostics and therapy to K-12 students across four schools
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in coordination with educational teams
- Travel between sites during school hours as part of an engaging, itinerant role
- Mentor/support SLPA and CF team members
- Participate in professional development and orientation/training
