Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist, making a difference for PreK–12 students in the vibrant Jacksonville, FL area. This on-site role offers the chance to provide essential speech and language services to students in one assigned school, with potential placements including Ed White High School, Kernan Trail Elementary, Oak Hill Academy (Center School, Severe Population), and others. With a dedicated 35-hour work week and estimated caseloads of around 60 students (subject to confirmation), you will play a pivotal role supporting a diverse population with mild to moderate needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Florida Department of Health SLP licensure
- School-based SLP experience highly preferred
- Must be able to complete fingerprinting requirements, or verify current FL school district clearance through the AHCA Clearinghouse
- Comfortable working independently on-site (no teletherapy)
- Passion for working with students from PreK through high school
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Conduct evaluations, develop plans of care, and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to educational teams
- Adjust therapeutic interventions to support a wide range of abilities and needs
- Maintain required documentation and adhere to district policies
