Required Skills & Experience:

  • Active state of Illinois license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP required)
  • Prior experience in a pediatric or school-based setting
  • Thorough understanding of sensory integration strategies and applying them within a school environment
  • Demonstrated history of working with school-aged children to develop, implement, and track therapy goals and progress

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language interventions to elementary students, tailoring approaches to meet diverse needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other multidisciplinary team members to facilitate student communication success
  • Assess, document, and regularly review student progress, updating treatment plans as necessary
  • Create engaging activities and therapeutic practices to maximize each student’s potential
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide clear, concise recommendations and documentation
