Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active or pending ABESPA AL SLP Certification or AL SLP DOE Certification (one required to start, both preferred)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in school-based SLP roles serving elementary or intermediate students
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to 3rd–6th grade students following IEP goals
- Evaluate, diagnose, and document student communication disorders
- Develop and implement targeted therapy plans, progress monitoring, and ongoing support
- Consult and collaborate with educators and family members regarding student needs and progress
- Uphold all ethical and professional responsibilities as outlined by licensing authorities and school policies
