Key Qualifications:
- Valid Alabama SLP license (ABESPA and/or AL SLP DOE certifications needed; can begin with one and obtain the other during assignment)
- SLP-CCC credential required
- Prior experience providing speech and language services in K-12 school settings preferred
- Deep understanding of treatment plans, progress monitoring, and IEP processes
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Dedication to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students in 3rd–6th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on each student's unique needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain detailed documentation of sessions, progress, and outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies throughout the school day
- Conduct evaluations and ongoing assessments to inform therapy and support student growth
- Educate staff and parents on best communication practices and promote awareness for speech-language development
