Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Petersburg, Virginia
This role offers an opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school setting in Petersburg, VA. The position is contract-based for the current school year (CSY), serving PreK-12th grades across three schools located on one campus, as well as one private school.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering speech and language therapy to a caseload of 35-45 students. The SLP will work 35 hours per week and may provide services either through teletherapy or onsite, depending on need. Collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals is essential to support student progress and communication development.
Desired qualifications and experience include:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in pediatrics and schools, preferably including clinical fellowship year (CFY) completion
- Ability to conduct teletherapy sessions effectively
- Background in healthcare and pediatric speech therapy
- Skilled in managing caseloads within educational settings
The contract runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY), with readiness to interview and extend offers promptly.
