A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a K-12 school setting located in Petaluma, CA. This contract role spans the 2025-2026 school year, with a start date as soon as possible and concluding on June 4, 2026. The position entails onsite support, primarily serving students from preschool through 2nd grade, with responsibilities extending up to 12th grade as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to K-12 students, focusing mainly on early childhood education (PS-2nd grade)
- Collaborate with additional SLP and Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) staff to support varied caseloads
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Engage with educators and families to support students’ communication needs
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist Certification or License applicable to school settings
- Experience working with a diverse student population across early childhood and elementary grades preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to work onsite five days per week, approximately 35-40 hours weekly
