A unique opportunity awaits for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a flexible contract role within a supportive educational environment. This position, located near Peoria, AZ, involves providing vital speech and language services to a small caseload of K-8 students. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP-CCC certification
- Arizona state licensure for SLP (or eligibility)
- Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience strongly preferred
- Skilled in IEP development, goal setting, and progress reporting
- Familiarity with direct and indirect service delivery models
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct 30-minute individual or group sessions with a manageable caseload of about 10 students, grades K-8, each Friday
- Write, revise, and document IEPs and progress goals tailored to each student’s needs
- Evaluate referred students for speech services using standardized assessments and observations
- Facilitate and attend SLI-only meetings, as well as regular IEP meetings as a contributing SLP member
- Collaborate with teachers and other service providers to deliver quality, student-centered care
- Allocate indirect service hours for meetings, documentation, and planning
This contracted role offers competitive weekly pay, delivered every Friday, providing both consistency and flexibility. The schedule typically includes direct services from 8am-12pm and indirect time as needed for paperwork and collaboration.
