Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Pawtucket, RI
A full-time opportunity is available for a skilled School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students from 1st through 4th grade in a school setting. This contract position is located in Pawtucket, RI, and runs from now through the end of the school year, providing a consistent 40-hour workweek.
Responsibilities in this role include evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized therapy programs to support children’s communication and motor skills development. Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals will be essential to promote student progress and participation. You will be responsible for maintaining detailed documentation of student performance and therapy outcomes to ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations.
Desired qualifications and skills:
- Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Occupational Therapist (OT) with school-based experience
- Proven ability to work effectively with children in early elementary grades (1st-4th)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators and families
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and therapy schedules efficiently
- Knowledge of educational therapy techniques and familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs)
