Step into an opportunity to support students across two welcoming communities as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Providing essential services within center-based special education programs, you'll directly impact children’s growth and communication skills. This contract role prioritizes hands-on collaboration and interaction, as in-person care has shown the most success for these students.
Your assignment covers approximately 7.25-hour days, running 8 am to 3:15 pm, with a consistent schedule from now through early June. Your week will include three days in one location in Lawrence and two days split between two other Bangor sites, all within a supportive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license and CCC-SLP credentials, or eligibility to obtain Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) supervision
- Experience or strong interest in working within pediatric, healthcare, and school-based settings
- Adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse group of students in special education programs
- Dedication to in-person service, with understanding of the limitations of virtual interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver interventions for students with varying needs
- Collaborate with educators, support teams, and families to integrate goals into students’ daily school lives
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting
- Participate in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and attend relevant meetings
