A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a contract position serving schools in the Baltimore, MD area. This on-site role involves providing speech-language services across multiple educational settings, including community preschools and elementary and middle schools. Coverage start dates are flexible with assignments beginning January through March 2026 and extending through the end of the school year, with potential to continue into Extended School Year (ESY) sessions in July.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to preschool, elementary (PreK–5), and secondary (6–8) students
- Provide itinerant services across multiple school locations, including community preschool sites and various elementary and middle schools
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) and collaborate effectively with school teams
- Support compliance with district guidelines, including participation in background checks and fingerprinting as required under House Bill 486
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional License for Speech Language Pathology
- Familiarity with school-based speech-language pathology practices
- Experience providing services to diverse age groups (preschool through middle school)
- Ability to manage caseloads across multiple locations and coordinate effectively with school personnel
- Candidates must be available for pre-screen interviews to assess suitability
Schedule and Locations:
- Full-time positions: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday (two openings)
- Part-time position: 30 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, with option to expand to 5 days
- Service locations include community preschools, Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, and Aberdeen Middle School in the Baltimore area
