Located in the Baltimore area of Maryland, this professional opportunity calls for experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential services within a school district setting. The positions include two full-time roles (37.5 hours/week, Monday through Friday) and one part-time role (30 hours/week, Monday through Thursday, with the option to extend to five days). Assignments involve itinerant services across community preschool locations as well as placements at multiple elementary and middle schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students ranging from preschool through middle school (PreK–8).
- Support preschool students attending community schools five days per week.
- Provide services at Magnolia Elementary (3 days/week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days/week) or at Aberdeen Middle School.
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to ensure compliance and effective service delivery.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to promote student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation following district policies and professional guidelines.
Qualifications and Licenses:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure for Speech Language Pathology required.
- Compliance with House Bill 486, including district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review.
- Professional experience working in school settings preferred.
- Ability to provide supervision for supporting personnel is essential.
