This contract opportunity in Bel Air, MD seeks skilled Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) with active Maryland Professional Licensure to provide critical support across multiple school locations within the Baltimore area. Positions include both full-time and part-time roles serving preschool through middle school students, with caseloads that span community preschool programs, elementary schools, and secondary education settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to diverse student populations, including preschoolers and children in grades PreK-8.
- Support and supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to ensure cohesive service delivery.
- Manage an itinerant caseload across community preschool locations and specific elementary and middle schools.
- Collaborate with educators and families to create individualized therapy plans that promote student communication success.
- Comply with all district background checks, fingerprinting, and employment history reviews as mandated by House Bill 486.
Qualifications:
- Current Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC).
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with preschool to middle school students.
- Ability to supervise SLPAs in delivering therapy services.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work onsite and travel between assigned school locations.
Position Details:
- Full-time positions: 37.5 hours/week, Monday through Friday.
- Part-time position: 30 hours/week, Monday through Thursday (option to expand to 5 days).
- Start dates ranging from January through March 2026, with contracts extending through May and options to continue into Extended School Year services in July.
- Assignments include Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, Aberdeen Middle School, and community preschool settings.
