School Speech and Language Pathologist | Parkville, Maryland
A Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) is needed to provide essential therapy services for a diverse student population spanning preschool through middle school in the Baltimore area, MD. This contract opportunity supports speech and language development across multiple school sites within a K-12 setting, offering both full-time and part-time positions from January through the end of June 2026, with the possibility of extending into summer school services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to preschool, elementary (PreK-5), and secondary (6-8) students across designated school locations.
- Supervise Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-A) providing complementary services, ensuring effective collaboration and student progress.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document student progress in compliance with professional and district standards.
- Manage itinerant therapy caseload for community preschool programs, with travel between multiple sites as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Current active Maryland Professional Licensure for Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) by ASHA preferred.
- Ability to obtain House Bill 486 clearance including background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review.
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students in a school-based setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseloads and collaborate with educational teams.
Assignment Details and Work Schedule:
- Locations include community preschool programs, Magnolia and Prospect Mill Elementary Schools, and Aberdeen Middle School.
- Positions are available full-time (37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday) or part-time (30 hours/week, Monday-Thursday, with option for 5 days).
- Start dates vary by assignment with continuous coverage opportunities through the academic year and optional Extended School Year (ESY) services in July.
