Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Palo Cedro, CA

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist working in an engaging, supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity offers up to 40 hours per week, serving a diverse student caseload of up to 55 individuals from preschool (age 3) through 8th grade. As an itinerant clinician, you will collaborate across 3-4 school sites, providing critical speech and language services to students with mild speech disabilities as well as those with more complex needs, including autism and intellectual disabilities.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP license (California licensure required)
- CTC (California Teaching Credential) preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is advantageous
- Strong clinical skills assessing and treating a wide range of communication disorders
- Ability to manage and prioritize a dynamic caseload across multiple campuses
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students across the age and disability spectrum
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families regarding student progress and needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and records in accordance with district and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed
- Travel between school sites in the designated area as an itinerant provider
