Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Burbank, California
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Burbank, CA, supporting students from TK through 6th grade across two school sites. This full-time contract position spans the 25/26 and 26/27 school years, with an immediate start and summer availability. Candidates will work with a diverse student population presenting mild articulation difficulties, mild to moderate disabilities with language deficits, and some augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language impairments.
- Deliver direct therapy services addressing articulation, language deficits, and AAC.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with educational and clinical standards.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- Experience providing pediatric speech therapy, ideally within school settings.
- Familiarity with AAC tools and strategies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to engage students with diverse learning needs effectively.
