School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Oswego, Illinois

This full-time, in-person contract opportunity is set for the 2026–2027 academic year at a well-supported elementary school near Oswego, IL, where you’ll work closely with the STARS Program, serving students who benefit from a collaborative and individualized approach.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Endorsement
- School-based experience preferred, especially supporting children with autism spectrum disorders and complex communication profiles
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities
- Comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams and families to support students’ educational journeys
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech and language assessments, drafting comprehensive, individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Set, monitor, and document progress on communication-focused IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with educators, specialists, and families to create cohesive support strategies
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation and participate in IEP meetings and team discussions
- Apply evidence-based techniques for students with moderate to significant communication, sensory, and social-emotional needs
Assignment Details:
- Full-time, in-person schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM–4:00 PM (33.75 hours/week)
- Caseload centers on the STARS Program for students requiring comprehensive communication and support services
- Position begins with the 2026–2027 school year
- Remote interview process, with hiring decisions made promptly for qualified candidates
- District fingerprinting required before starting
