Job Description
A school district in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is seeking a qualified Cross Categorical Special Education Teacher for a full‑time, school‑based contract. This position serves K–12 students with a variety of disabilities and offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative educational environment with ongoing professional and administrative support. Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction and educational support to students with a wide range of learning, developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and Wisconsin state regulations
- Deliver specialized instruction across multiple disability categories using evidence‑based practices
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
- Modify curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessments to meet individual student needs
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instruction based on performance and IEP goals
- Participate in and facilitate IEP meetings while ensuring procedural compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation and student records
- Support a structured, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Cross Categorical Special Education teaching license required
- Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
- Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
Experience
- Previous school‑based or special education experience preferred
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs preferred
- Experience supporting students across multiple disability categories preferred
- New graduates with appropriate credentials are encouraged to apply

Work Hours
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Approximately 37–40 hours per week
