Speech Language Pathologist-Travel
Location: Fort Myers, Florida Area (Travel Position)
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for a full-time travel role supporting school districts in the Fort Myers area for the 2026–2027 school year. Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered, including:
Active Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Florida
Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), if required by the district
Florida Department of Education certification or eligibility, if applicable
Compliance with all state and district background check requirements
Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Travel Position Requirements:
Candidates must hold an active license in the state of assignment
Must maintain dual housing arrangements (permanent residence and temporary assignment housing) during the contract period
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
Provide direct therapy services to students with identified needs
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
Participate in meetings, including IEP meetings and staff consultations
Monitor and track student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
