Make an impact in the lives of students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist working on an itinerant basis in the Jacksonville area. This role offers the chance to support a diverse caseload of Pre K-12 students across multiple school sites during the academic year. Your expertise will help students overcome communication challenges, empowering them to thrive academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Department of Health SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Experience working in school settings with children from Pre K to 12th grade (mild to moderate needs preferred)
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and travel between school locations as needed
- Familiarity with IEP processes and collaborative educational teams
- Willingness to complete required fingerprinting & credentialing processes (previous FL school-district fingerprinting may be transferable; details provided upon interview)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60 students (final numbers to be confirmed)
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s developmental level and needs
- Complete timely documentation, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and ancillary staff to support each student’s growth
- Adapt therapy strategies to accommodate students across various ages and ability levels
