A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Okeechobee, FL, supporting schools in the Southeast Florida Coast region. This onsite contract position offers the chance to work directly within one to two schools, serving students in need of speech and language services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to a caseload of school-aged children
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district and state regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education programs (IEPs)
Desired Qualifications:
- Active SLP licensure in Florida is required
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) candidates may be considered with appropriate supervision
- Experience working in school settings is advantageous
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and credentialing requirements as mandated by the school district
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to student success
