Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Novato, CA
Experience the rewards of supporting student communication growth in a dynamic educational setting. Opportunities are available for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists for this full-time, onsite contract position, spanning August 2024 through June 2025. Two distinct roles are open, each designed to make a significant impact on students’ educational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students across multiple school sites
- For middle school: provide support to students within mild/moderate and extensive support needs SDCs, as well as those in RSP or general education settings
- For elementary sites: address needs of general education students, grades TK-5, plus those within extensive support needs classrooms as assigned
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement IEPs
- Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and maintain thorough documentation
- Offer guidance and in-service training for staff regarding communication strategies
Desired Qualifications:
- Current California SLP license
- Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential for School-Based assignments
- Previous experience in school and/or pediatric settings, with familiarity in both general and special education populations
- Clinical Fellows (CFYs) and experienced SLPs are encouraged to apply
- SLPA credentials and healthcare experience a plus for support roles
Position Highlights:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Contract runs the entire academic year, from August 12 through June
