Step into a meaningful school-based role supporting students' communication goals as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) at a high or junior high campus near North Hollywood, CA. This opportunity starts August 11th and runs through June 3rd, offering consistent hours—30 each week, Monday through Friday—perfect for those seeking a structured, engaging schedule throughout the school year.

You'll be working closely with a dedicated team of Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) who hold CCC and school-based experience, gaining valuable exposure and contributing to students’ language, speech, and communication development in an educational setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLPA license in California
  • Prior experience assisting or supporting SLPs, ideally in a school environment
  • Understanding of school-based intervention and documentation practices
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to supporting diverse student populations across high or junior high grade levels

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist SLPs in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Support students through direct and indirect therapy sessions
  • Prepare materials and maintain records as directed by supervising SLPs
  • Collect data and document student progress accurately
  • Collaborate with education staff, families, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Adapt to the dynamic needs of a school campus and its students
