School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Murrieta, California
Make a meaningful difference supporting students in a school-based setting by providing speech-language therapy services as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team. This contract opportunity is based near Murrieta, CA, and covers a maternity leave at Crowne Hill Elementary from early August through December 2026—with the potential to extend through the full academic year.
In this assignment, you’ll work closely with another SLP and an SLPA to serve a caseload of three medically fragile classrooms. Your expertise with AAC devices will be central in helping students strengthen their ability to communicate, fostering both educational growth and everyday engagement.
Qualifications:
• Valid SLP license/certification for California
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Recent experience working as an SLP in a school setting
• Demonstrated proficiency with AAC device use, programming, and implementation
• Strong communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills
• Experience supporting medically fragile children is highly preferred
Position Duties:
• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students
• Collaborate with fellow SLPs, SLPAs, teachers, and support staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Assess, track, and document student progress
• Train and support staff on the effective use of AAC devices
• Communicate regularly with families and educational partners
• Adapt interventions to address the needs of medically fragile students
