Step into a contract opportunity that allows you to make a significant impact on students’ lives by supporting Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) within a high school or junior high setting. Working near the vibrant North Hollywood area, you’ll embark on a fulfilling assignment from August 11th through June 3rd, supporting a collaborative team and helping students reach their communication goals.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid California licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Familiarity with school-based therapy settings and educational documentation
- Knowledge of articulation, language, and social communication intervention strategies
- Ability to provide support to SLPs in implementing therapy plans
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism within a diverse school environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech/language therapy services to students as directed by SLPs
- Assist in preparing, conducting, and reinforcing individualized therapy activities
- Document student progress and maintain accurate session records
- Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, and other staff to facilitate positive student outcomes
- Support in adapting materials and session delivery for a range of student needs
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
