An elementary school in Van Nuys, CA, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-semester contract starting in March and continuing through the end of the school year in June, with opportunities for renewal through the summer and the next school year. This full-time position offers a consistent schedule and the chance to work with a mod-severe caseload of K-6th grade students.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in pediatric SLP services, particularly in school settings
- Expertise in teletherapy is beneficial but this role is on-site only
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
- Familiarity with mod-severe caseloads
- Prior experience working with a team of therapists in educational environments
Location: Van Nuys, CA (Elementary School)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to K-6 students with moderate to severe speech and language needs
- Collaborate with two full-time therapists on campus to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with educators and families
- Adhere to school policies and procedures while fostering a supportive learning environment
Schedule:
- Full-time, up to 40 hours per week
- One school site commitment
- Work hours from approximately 7:30-8:00 am to 2:45-3:45 pm
- On-site presence required
