Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure for speech-language pathology or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, but strong clinical skills considered
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings to identify speech, language, and communication disorders among students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address students’ unique needs
- Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions—individually or in small groups—both in person and through teletherapy as appropriate
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress, session notes, and needed reports
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations to support academic achievement
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and continuing education in SLP
