This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is based in Charleston, SC, serving K-12 students across two elementary schools. The role offers a contract through the current school year, from ASAP through May 29, 2026. The position requires on-site presence and is ideal for an SLP with a South Carolina active state license and ASHA CCC credentials.
The SLP will begin at Dunston Elementary, supporting general education students, resource groups, and two Low Incidence programs. In May, the role transitions to cover a maternity leave at an elementary school in West Ashley, maintaining a similar full-time caseload including Low Incidence and Low Incidence/Autism units.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in South Carolina (no pending licenses)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; no CFs or SLPAs accepted
- Experience working with K–12 populations, including general education and low incidence/Autism caseloads
- Ability to cover medical and maternity leaves as specified
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders for diverse student populations
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support communication goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress
- Adapt interventions to meet the specific needs of each school assignment and student caseload
