Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active and unrestricted North Carolina SLP license is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior school or pediatric SLP experience preferred
- Demonstrated familiarity with assistive listening devices and related technology
- Collaborative approach to communication with educators, counselors, and families
- Excellent organization, flexibility, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs
- Integrate assistive listening technology into therapy as needed
- Provide direct therapy sessions, progress monitoring, and appropriate documentation
- Consult and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support overall student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student evaluations
- Educate families and staff to optimize students’ communicative abilities
