School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Norlina, North Carolina

Bring your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist to a vibrant school community serving students in the Henderson, NC area! This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through June 4, 2027, with full-time hours (Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week). You’ll primarily work with an elementary caseload, with consideration given to your age group and location preferences.
You’ll play a vital role supporting students’ communication abilities and collaborating with an enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team. Candidates should be experienced, flexible, and passionate about helping students thrive—whether providing direct services or supervisory support. The position may require either two SLPs or one SLP and an SLPA, but when considering an SLPA, SLP supervision is essential.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current, active North Carolina SLP license—required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Proficient with assistive listening technology
- Ability to manage caseloads and tailor interventions to diverse needs
- Supervisory experience or willingness to supervise an SLPA (if applicable)
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals for student success
- Supervise and mentor an SLPA if assigned
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district regulations
- Document services and outcomes efficiently
