Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Virginia Beach, VA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Virginia Beach, VA, within a K-12 school setting. The position is itinerant, providing services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade, with a focus on in-person therapy.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and delivering direct therapy services across multiple locations. Collaboration with educators, parents, and support staff to foster student progress is essential. The role requires attention to individual student needs and fostering communication skills development in a school environment.
Key qualifications and experience desired:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working with pediatric populations, including K-12 students
- Familiarity with teletherapy is a plus but the position is strictly in-person
- Experience operating in healthcare or school environments
- Ability to manage itinerant caseload across multiple school sites
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or status as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) considered an asset
- Strong communication and organizational skills
This position begins in August 2025 with potential orientation and training in July 2025. Typical work hours are approximately 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
