School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Santa Maria, California
Embark on a fulfilling opportunity as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting elementary students in a vibrant educational setting. Step into a full-time, contract position for the upcoming academic year, providing vital services to mild-to-moderate caseloads across two school sites. Your expertise will help empower young learners to reach their communication goals, while you gain valuable experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active SLP licensure (CFY candidates are welcome; supervisor provided)
- Prior school-based experience with elementary-aged children preferred
- Comfort working with mild-to-moderate student populations
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload of approximately 55 students
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Commitment to onsite work, with three days at one school and two days at another
- Flexibility and organizational skills to navigate multiple locations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services for elementary students
- Develop, implement, and adjust IEPs in alignment with student progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and support staff
- Regularly assess, document, and report student performance and improvements
- Consult with supervising SLP (as required for CFs)
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal guidelines for school-based SLP services
- Participate in team meetings and provide recommendations for student support
