Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Niles, MI
Make an immediate impact supporting students’ communication success in a vibrant school community near Niles, MI! This contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials who is passionate about assisting students in reaching their full potential. You’ll work with a diverse group of learners, primarily ages 3 to 10, but will support students from birth through young adulthood (up to 26 years). This assignment runs through the current academic schedule, ending June 5, 2026.
What We're Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Eligibility for state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with varying disabilities
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Commitment to evidence-based therapy practices
What You'll Be Doing:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to eligible students
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations
- Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, monitor progress, and present results to educational staff and families
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to support learners’ academic and communicative goals
- Maintain accurate and timely therapy notes and required special education documentation
- Adapt services to meet a variety of needs and disability profiles
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and family consultations
