This role is ideal for a dedicated SLP who understands the importance of hands-on, in-person therapy in a school setting. The specifics of your caseload—including age ranges and numbers—will be discussed during your interview to ensure an optimal match for your skills and preferences.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health Provisional SLP License required
- Strong preference for prior school-based experience
- Commitment to full-time, on-site service
- Willingness to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprints and JLA badge process
- Familiarity with IEP development and delivery, progress monitoring, and collaborative practices with educators and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school-age children
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student growth
- Maintain clear and detailed documentation of student progress and interventions
- Participate actively in multi-disciplinary team meetings and professional development
