Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Newfield, NY

Make an impact as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist working with K-12 students for the 2025-2026 school year near Ithaca, NY! This contract role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful speech and language services to a diverse student population, ranging from those with mild to severe disabilities, including autism, cognitive delays, emotional disturbance, and Down Syndrome. With a schedule of 32.5 hours per week, you’ll be supporting students’ growth in a collaborative educational environment.
Requirements:
- Active New York SLP license
- Current TSSLD Certification
- Experience or strong interest in pediatrics, preferably within school settings
- Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates as well as fully certified SLPs (CCC)
- Capable of providing high-quality, compassionate therapy—either onsite or virtually (teletherapy experience a plus)
- Ability to manage a caseload with varying needs and communication styles
- Skilled at collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
Role Highlights:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct comprehensive speech/language evaluations
- Consult regularly with multidisciplinary teams
- Keep thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements
- Work with students presenting a spectrum of communication challenges
