A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for professionals interested in providing therapy services to preschool children with special needs in a dynamic school setting located in New Oxford, PA, and surrounding areas in Adams and York Counties. This travel role offers a unique chance to work within various educational environments including preschool special education classrooms, Head Start programs, Pre-K Counts classes, daycares, and community preschools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to preschool-aged students (3 to 5 years old) with special needs.
- Provide services in multiple settings including in-class support and walk-in therapy sessions.
- Manage a caseload expected to reach 55 students by the end of the year.
- Participate in one half-day per week dedicated to paperwork and IEP meetings.
- Travel to multiple locations within Adams and York Counties with a designated home base.
- Follow a preschool stretch calendar totaling 188 working days per year.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania SLP certification.
- Early intervention preschool experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently while traveling to various educational sites.
- Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are welcome; supervision provided by agency (supervision cost applies).
- Experience working with diverse preschool populations and early intervention programs.
- SLP Assistants (SLPAs) are not supported in this role; VOCO therapy is not utilized here.
Location and Schedule:
- Primary locations include York Learning Center (York County) and 65 Billerbeck Street (Adams County).
- 35 hours per week with travel time included in the schedule.
- Contract duration: ASAP through June 2026.
