Travel Speech Therapist in New Castle, DE

A temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available from January 26 through April 10 in New Castle, DE, with potential for extension. This role supports a K-8 caseload in a school setting, providing vital therapy services during a maternity leave assignment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy focusing on articulation and expressive/receptive language to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
- Provide consultation support for middle school students (grades 6-8).
- Collaborate with educators and families to tailor interventions to student needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Participate in teletherapy sessions as needed, embracing virtual or hybrid work arrangements.
Qualifications:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Delaware SLP licensure or eligibility to start with pending Delaware licensure while holding full licensure in another state.
- Experience in school-based SLP services preferred.
- Skills in pediatrics and teletherapy support are advantageous.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload spanning K-8th grade students.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Location and Work Environment:
- Assignment based in New Castle, Delaware.
- School environment with support for part in-person and part virtual therapy provision.
- This is a travel assignment supporting maternity leave coverage.
