Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- License to practice as an SLP in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable
- Familiarity with IEP processes and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication screenings and comprehensive evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and treatment plans
- Deliver targeted speech and language therapy to students in individual and group settings
- Document progress and prepare detailed reports for parents, staff, and administration
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school professionals to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team decision-making
- Provide education and resources to parents and staff regarding communication disorders
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
